Healthcare providers merge

Quick Care A/S, which serves municipalities and insurance companies regarding rehabilitation of sickness benefit recipients etc., sold the remaining 40% of the company in May 2014 in connection with TryghedsGruppen's sale of 60% to Falck Healthcare.

Falck Healthcare has also acquired Swedish Previa, making it dominant in healthcare services in the Nordic region with 2000 employees and a turnover of SEK 2.2 billion.

TryghedsGruppen also acquires a 40% share of Falck Healthcare and 2.3% of Falck Holding. The transactions therefore have the overall character of a merger.

Ulrik Jespersen and Thomas Helt, who founded Quick Care A/S in 2007, sold 60% of the company to TryghedsGruppen in spring 2011 and in January 2014 bought Aktiv Helse, a Norwegian niche company. The two founders have now been given the opportunity to invest in the continuing Falck Healthcare Holding.

"On the possibility of receiving more cash rather than a shareholding in Falck Healthcare Holding, Thomas Helt says in Børsen: "It would not be like us, we are businessmen with the risk it entails. And Falck would also very much like us to stay. Quick Care is a strong product in the employment area, but I believe in the entire healthcare area, which is why I would like to be a shareholder in the entire case rather than just being a shareholder in part of it."

Since the company's inception, Quick Care has employedClaus Bruun as its permanent strategic and financial advisor, including in sales and acquisition transactions.
