W.Domino A/S manufactures and supplies products within feeders, mucking systems and other accessories for the pig and cattle industry.

Since 1961, the Domino family business, just outside Vejle, has been known in the industry for high quality products, not only in Denmark, but in most of the world.

The company's development now faces new international opportunities, as German company WEDA Dammann & Westerkamp GmbH has undergone a generational succession has acquired W. Domino A/S.

Klaus Termansen andJohn Nygaard have been W. Domino's advisors in the structured sales process leading up to the change of ownership. The sale to WEDA also includes the sale of W. Domino's domicile property.

Business advisor who knows the industry for feed and housing solutions

Klaus Termansen and John Nygaard's focused industry search for industrial buyers of W. Domino led them to WEDA as the most optimal candidate, says Klaus Termansen:

This shows a buyer candidate that wants to invest in Danish jobs and has ambitions with the acquisition."

Industry knowledge has benefited business sales

According to Asger Domino, who represents the former owners of W. Domino, the fact that the advisors from Business Broker the industry and the players in the agricultural equipment market has been of great importance to both the process and the outcome of the generational change:

With WEDA as the new owner of W. Domino, there is the prospect of significant synergies between the two companies - both in terms of products and markets.

The German owners gain direct access to the Scandinavian market and can now, with a strengthened product range, offer themselves as a total supplier for the construction of large-scale housing projects worldwide.

"With Domino's feeders and weighing systems in the product portfolio, WEDA and W. Domino will be a much stronger supplier globally," says consultant Klaus Termansen.

This is an assessment that Asger Domino shares. He describes WEDA as a buyer that opens doors on the world market for W. Domino's solutions that the small, Jutland-based company would not be able to open itself.

For him, it is also emotionally significant that WEDA is family-run, just like W. Domino. This results in a shared set of values that he values when handing over the company that has been the focal point of the Domino family for 60 years.

Asger Domino is also pleased with the importance of the generational change for employees and the local environment:
